但它們的意思是不一樣的
due 這個字的本意是 ”該交”, “應交” 的
因此 overdue 的意思是 ”逾期未給, 未交的”
像作業, 報告, 借來的書, 該付的錢等, 若還沒給, 還沒交, 就是 overdue
這個字只能當形容詞用
比如: The electric bill is overdue. (電費帳單逾期了)
所謂 expired 則是指因為超過某個期限而失去效力, 不能使用了
像食品, 藥品的過期不能吃, 就是 expired
證件過期而不能用了, 也叫 expired
但它也可以當動詞用
比如: You can’t leave the country now because your passport has expired.
(你的護照過期了, 所以不能出境)
